Sourdough Pancakes

Pancakes made with sourdough discard elevates the flavor of traditional pancakes. These fluffy sourdough pancakes will be your new go to! They make the perfect breakfast... or lunch, or dinner!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sourdough discard
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tablespoons butter

Instructions

  • Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a mixing bowl
  • Add the milk, sourdough discard, egg, and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined. Batter should be lumpy.
  • Prepare griddle or skillet with oil or butter and set griddle to about 300 degrees or medium heat.
  • Pour batter in hot pan/griddle. Add any topping at this point. When the pancakes start to form bubbles on the top, flip.
  • Cook for an additional 1-2 minute or until desired crispness.
  • Serve with maple syrup or butter or berries and whipped cream!
